This photo was taken early one morning at Bow Lake, right outside the lodge where we were staying.
When I looked outside, the sky was heavy with clouds and the light felt flat — not the kind of morning that usually gets you excited to shoot. But I headed down to the shoreline anyway, just hoping for something.
As I stood there, the clouds slowly began to shift, and a soft light touched the peak across the water. The lake went completely still, giving me this perfect reflection and a sky that felt quietly dramatic — not flashy, but beautiful in a more subtle, moody way.
It was one of those mornings that reminds me why I keep showing up, even when the conditions seem off. You never know when the scene in front of you is going to surprise you.
